Will Ferrell, one of Hollywood’s most well-known actors and comedians, is getting a lot of acclaim for his new project, a documentary about Harper Steele, a close friend who underwent gender transition a few years ago.

Directed by Josh Greenbaum, the documentary follows Ferrell and his friend on a 16-day journey to discover how Steele’s “new version” affects their long friendship.

In the trailer “Will & Harper”, Ferrell says: “What if we took a trip together, giving her the chance to visit a cowboy bar or any place she misses, and I could be by her side and support her as a friend?

“This would give us the chance to reconnect and discover what this transition means for our relationship.”
