Rahel Solomon, anchor and business correspondent for CNN’s morning show Early Start, announced her departure during a live segment last Monday (23).
“Now for some personal news: I’ve decided that this will be my last week at CNN,” Solomon told viewers. “It has truly been a great honor to serve as a business correspondent for CNN. I’ve covered everything from inflation to the labor market and beyond.”
During her announcement, Solomon also thanked her colleagues, saying she is “so proud to have worked alongside” the Early Start team and the broader CNN newsroom.
Solomon said she will remain on air hosting Early Start until this Friday (27), which will mark her official farewell from the network. In the end, she described her departure not as a “goodbye,” but as a “see you soon.”
Rahel Solomon joined CNN in 2022 after working at CNBC. Before her television career, Solomon graduated in finance from St. John’s University and later earned a master’s degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
