Donald Trump shared on his Truth Social account a clip from a Saturday Night Live: UK sketch from Saturday (21) that mocked Keir Starmer, the UK Prime Minister.
Starmer, portrayed by George Fouracres, was afraid to call Donald Trump about the war in Iran and asked for advice from Foreign Secretary David Lammy, portrayed by Hammed Animashaun.
“Oh God… what if Donald yells at me? What do I say, Lammy?”, he said before Trump called. Starmer hangs up shortly after saying “hello.”
“Oh, to hell with that scary, scary, wonderful president. Why is it so hard to talk to him? I just want to keep him happy,” he continued.
Then, Fouracres’ character decides to confront Trump about the Strait of Hormuz, while still making it clear that the US can use any British naval base.
“Hi, Donald. I’m afraid I can’t go to war with you, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends,” Starmer joked.

“America and Great Britain have a long and proud tradition of cooperation, and nothing can take that away. Remember the good times. Remember D-Day? Remember Live Aid? Remember Iraq? The first week and none of the rest,” he continued.
The clip shared by Donald Trump omitted the part in which he was confronted by Starmer.

The US leader has already made several attacks on the British politician, saying he was “no Churchill.”
“The United Kingdom, our once great ally, perhaps the greatest of all, is now seriously considering sending two aircraft carriers to Iran,” Trump wrote, claiming he did not need people to enter wars that were already won.
