President Donald Trump launched another attack on CNN journalist Kaitlan Collins during a press conference in the White House Oval Office on Tuesday (February 3).
Kaitlan Collins serves as the chief White House correspondent for CNN. She asked President Donald Trump about his involvement in the millions of files released on Friday (January 30) regarding the Epstein case.
He shot back, saying that this was part of a “conspiracy” against him and that it was time for the country to move forward. The U.S. leader then began making personal attacks on Collins.
“You are very bad. You are the worst reporter. CNN has no ratings because of people like you,” Trump said.
“You know, she’s a young woman. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for 10 years. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smile on your face,” the Republican noted.
Kaitlan Collins was asking a question about the surviving victims of abuser Jeffrey Epstein, but Trump interrupted her to talk about the journalist’s smile.
“Do you know why you’re not smiling? Because you know you’re not telling the truth. And you’re a very dishonest organization, and you should be ashamed,” he bellowed.

“These are survivors of a sexual abuser,” Collins insisted. A spokesperson for CNN and the reporter herself responded to Donald Trump’s comments.
“She brings this journalism skillfully to the news desk and to CNN’s platforms every day, something that audiences around the world know they can trust,” the network said.
Collins said she asked the questions because these were the issues of the victims themselves, “who said they were dissatisfied with what has come out so far from the Department of Justice.”
“I spoke to one of them Friday night, who said that entire witness interviews with the FBI had been censored. The whole page was blacked out. So these are real questions,” she warned.
