“I actually haven’t fully started anything yet. She will be very involved in it. I have ideas and things, an approach to things, but it’s very, very early,” he said about the mysterious biographical film in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
When asked about who would play the singer, Chu said he plans to consider a wide range of options. “I’ve seen all the fan casting,” the director added.
“And I always take that into consideration because maybe there’s a good idea out there that we’ll have to see. We’ll have to see what the approach to the film is because we know who’s right for it, but I’m open to anything.”
