Scarlett Johansson criticized the use of her image in a fake AI-generated video created to condemn rapper Kanye West’s antisemitic comments.

In an interview with People magazine, the actress discussed the use of her image in the fake AI video created to criticize Kanye West. Scarlett Johansson was wearing a T-shirt showing a middle finger to the rapper.

“I was informed by family and friends about an AI-generated video using my image in response to an antisemitic viewpoint. This video is circulating and gaining attention online,” she said.

The 40-year-old Jewish actress stated that she has “no tolerance for antisemitism or any kind of racism” and that the use of AI “is a much bigger threat than any individual responsible for its use.”

Johansson emphasized that misuse of artificial intelligence should be reported “regardless of the message it carries, or we risk losing our sense of reality.”

The viral fake video went viral on social media after Kanye West posted a series of antisemitic statements on X, formerly Twitter. The rapper even claimed that he himself was a Nazi.

Celebrities like Steven Spielberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Sacha Baron Cohen, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Black, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer also appeared in the video wearing the T-shirt criticizing Ye.

The rapper’s X account was removed after his problematic statements.
