In a post on the social network Truth Social, Donald Trump attacked Rosie O’Donnell with a distorted photo of the comedian, in addition to threatening to revoke her citizenship. The incident occurred on Thursday (4).
“As mentioned earlier, we are seriously considering stripping O’Donnell of her citizenship. She is not a Great American and, in my opinion, is incapable of being one!” Trump wrote on his profile.

The U.S. president used a distorted photo of the comedian to mock her.
Rosie O’Donnell used her Instagram account to respond to Trump’s comments. “Banning me again? Logan Roy would be proud,” she said, referencing Brian Cox’s character in the series “Succession.”
She used her platform to call on U.S. authorities to release more names allegedly involved with Jeffrey Epstein, accused of numerous crimes of abuse in intimate relationships.

“Epstein’s survivors are the reckoning, and your golden lamé throne is melting,” O’Donnell wrote.
On the actress’s Substack profile, she explained that Trump could not revoke her citizenship, as it goes against the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
“The only way to strip someone of citizenship is if the person themselves renounces it, and I will never renounce my American citizenship. I am a very proud citizen of the United States,” she wrote.
The comedian moved to Ireland after Donald Trump took office as president in 2024.
