Known for playing Victor Baxter on “That’s So Raven,” Rondell Sheridan made an emotional plea to his fans from his hospital bed. The actor was diagnosed with a severe case of pancreatitis.

In a video posted on his Instagram profile, Rondell Sheridan shared with his followers that he received the diagnosis on April 10 while traveling.

“I got home on the 12th, went straight to Northridge hospital, and they told me it was pancreatitis,” the actor said from his hospital bed. He spent nine days in the hospital and underwent a series of tests.

He explains that he was discharged but was still under observation.

“My pancreas is inflamed, and there’s not much they can do except wait for the inflammation to go down. I never imagined that I would be—and will be—out of work for quite some time,” Rondell Sheridan shared.

Isabel Beyoso, a friend of the actor, created a GoFundMe page to help the comedian during this difficult time. “If you have anything you can donate, I would be greatly appreciative,” said Sheridan. “Thank you so much.”

Beyoso explained that doctors need to wait for the pancreas to resume its function before considering any other treatment. He will need to rest during this process.

The page has raised over $48,000, surpassing the original goal of $35,000.

According to the GoFundMe page, a $7,000 donation reportedly came from Kenan Thompson, star of “Kenan & Kel,” with whom Rondell Sheridan worked on an episode in 1998.
