“At Patrick’s wedding I almost flipped over,” Rob Lowe told host Jimmy Kimmel. The “St. Elmo’s Fire” actor said he had always been afraid of golf carts, even while doing crazy things like surfing giant waves.
The incident happened at the wedding of Patrick Schwarzenegger and model Abby Champion.
“It was on a very steep hill, and the grass was wet. But! In movies, they train you to drive in stunt scenes, so I just kept the wheel [straight], as I was trained,” Rob Lowe explained.
Kimmel asked if the actor was afraid of other vehicles, but Lowe said that this fear only happens with golf carts.
“Well, that doesn’t make sense because golf carts only go up to 40 km/h. Is it because of the lack of a seatbelt?” the host asked.
“I’ll tell you what it is. I feel like they’re unstable, ready to tip over at any moment,” he explained.
