After revealing that he had already paid Corey’s medical expenses, Rick Harrison from “Pawn Stars” made a definitive statement about the controversy involving his son.
This week, Rick Harrison from “Pawn Stars” denied reports that his son Corey had run out of money to cover medical expenses after a serious motorcycle accident that left him hospitalized for more than two weeks.
An online fundraiser created by Aron Chambers, a friend of Corey, claims that the reality TV star was left with more than $100,000 in debt, but Rick stated that the bills had been paid even before the fundraising campaign was launched.
“As far as I know, I paid all of Corey’s medical bills long before he created the GoFundMe campaign,” Rick told Page Six in early January. “He is an adult man in his 40s and is responsible for how he manages his finances.”

Speaking to TMZ, Corey pushed back against his father, saying that based on their relationship he does not believe he won’t eventually be asked to repay the expenses; “If he decides that I don’t have to pay the money back, then happy birthday to me.”
Now Rick wants to resolve the situation with his son, but away from the media; according to TMZ, the father wants the entire controversy to be handled only between the two of them.
“We appreciate everyone’s support and concern, but we believe that at this moment it is in everyone’s best interest to focus our efforts on Corey’s recovery,” he said. “Corey and I will resolve this by talking to each other, not through the media.”
Even so, the fundraising page remains active and has already raised more than $13,000, 85% of the established goal of $16,000.
