A video shows the moment the reporter had her microphone torn from her hand after a man slapped the object.
Aline was describing a fight that was happening between supporters of both teams when she was attacked. The cameraman also injured his hand after the aggressor tried to knock the camera down.
“I’m not well, but I will be. I’m processing everything. When I was about to go live, a commotion started. I was just reporting,” the reporter wrote on one of her social media accounts.
“I made sure to step back for our safety and because of the pepper spray. It was a strong assault; he also pulled the camera aggressively. It was heavy, I had never gone through something like this. It was shocking, and I had an anxiety attack afterward,” she said.
The reporter states that both CazéTV and Santos Futebol Clube have been offering all necessary support.
“Me being a woman and a guy doing that is pure cowardice,” Aline added.
