The Australian actress was candid when speaking about the medications that helped her lose weight and fight her addiction to sweets.
Rebel Wilson has always spoken openly about her battle to lose weight and has never hidden her use of medication to help her slim down.
The 46-year-old actress, who began her weight loss journey in 2020, used social media to share her personal and honest perspective on her current body image.
In a series of Stories shared on her Instagram on March 31, the “Pitch Perfect” actress revealed that she is happy with her new body, but suggested that she may never have a “swimsuit body.”
“I think I’ll never have a body to wear a swimsuit — that just doesn’t suit me. But my body has carried me through this whole life, and I’m very grateful for it!” she wrote in the caption of her post.
Wilson lost more than 36 kg by 2022 through exercise and a high-protein diet, but after gaining 14 kg in 2024, she admitted to using Ozempic to maintain her weight loss goals and control food cravings.
The actress told her followers that she tries to maintain an exercise routine and a healthy diet, but that the medication helps control her love for sweets.
“But let’s be honest, I love sweets, so I need these GLPs from time to time to give me a little help,” she wrote in another slide.
In her memoir “Rebel Rising,” released in 2024, Wilson, who will soon become a mother for the second time, described her journey during what she called her “Year of Health,” documenting her weight loss, her struggle with binge eating, and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
