A reporter from SBT, a Brazilian television network, got into a confrontation with police during a live broadcast after filming the location where a woman had been injured during a robbery. The suspect died.
Reporter Rodrigo Garavani was interrupted by police officers during a live report for the Brazilian TV network SBT. The officers claimed he was disrespecting the crime scene.
Rodrigo was covering a robbery-related homicide on the morning of Wednesday (9). A woman was injured, and the suspect was found dead.
The reporter was filming the officers arriving in their patrol car when they got out and asked him to leave. “Please, at least respect the scene,” said one of the officers.

Footage shows Rodrigo crossing the barrier around the crime scene. “We’ve been here since early morning, covering the case, and there hasn’t been any issue,” the reporter justified.
Despite warnings from the authorities, who were irritated by the presence of the news crew, Rodrigo insisted he was reporting live on the event.
“Are you live? Then please, respect the scene,” said one of the officers while Rodrigo was speaking with the show’s host.
