Andre Portasio, the widower of Paul O’Grady, shared an emotional video of the presenter recorded just 20 minutes before his passing. The British presenter died in 2023 at the age of 67.

Paul O’Grady passed away after suffering a sudden cardiac arrhythmia on March 28, 2023. His widower, Andre Portasio, recently shared a video of the British presenter recorded about 20 minutes before his death.

“Today, my iPhone reminded me of a lost video I had recorded of Paul just 20 minutes before his death, which ended up being his final footage on camera,” Andre wrote in the video’s caption.

“In this bittersweet moment, we see the genuinely kind man he was, sincerely expressing his gratitude to everyone for the support of his book, in a recording made for an award show he couldn’t attend,” he said.

In the video, Paul O’Grady is at his home in Kent with his dogs, thanking all his fans for reading his book “Eddie Albert and the Amazing Animal Gang.”

“I’m absolutely thrilled about my award. So, thank you very much. And by the way, this is Eddie. He’s my dog. And Buster in the book was inspired by this little one,” said O’Grady.

Paul O’Grady and Andre began dating in the early 2000s and married in 2017.

The presenter was known for his iconic drag character Lily Savage and for his work on ITV’s show “For the Love of Dogs.”
