“My kids are grown, I’m single, I don’t have to consider anyone else’s dreams anymore when it comes to: where do I want to live? What do I want my home to look like? Can I go on vacation with my friend or not?” she said.
Patricia Arquette reflected on why she became a mother in her early 20s. She is the mother of Enzo, 36, from her relationship with ex-partner Paul Rossi, and Harlow, 22, from her previous marriage to Thomas Jane.
“It’s an amazing thing when your kids are grown and, if your relationship didn’t work out and you decided, ‘I can’t live with all of that,’ to have a moment where you think: ‘Who am I? What do I want?’” she continued.

She spoke about the Chinese belief that menopause is like a second spring and that she feels exactly that way.
“The whole world is suddenly different, and I can live all these adventures and spend time with people I truly miss, people I want to be with,” she celebrated.
Patricia Arquette said it was this stage of her life that made her feel comfortable playing Maggie in “Murdaugh: Death in the Family”.
The mother of two was found dead in 2021 next to her son Paul in her home; her husband Alex Murdaugh was later convicted of murdering them both and sentenced to two life terms in 2023.
