Prue Leith will no longer present “Great Celebrity Bake Off”, and a well-known chef to the public is expected to take her place.

Prue Leith, 84, has been presenting the Bake Off competition since 2017, when she replaced Mary Berry, the original judge of the reality show. The program airs twice a year, with a traditional version featuring amateur bakers and another with celebrities, ‘The Great Celebrity Bake Off’, which raises money for cancer charities.

In a press statement, Leith confirmed that she will step back from one version of the show: “I absolutely adore working on ‘Bake Off’ and am looking forward to filming the next series and meeting our new contestants. I am just stepping away from the Celebrity version.”

According to The Sun, Nigella Lawson is reportedly the favorite to replace Prue Leith on ‘The Great British Bake Off Stand Up To Cancer’ when the show’s filming resumes later in the year. Meanwhile, Paul Hollywood, who has been on the show since its inception, is confirmed for the upcoming seasons along with Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.
