“I’m very grateful to be able to do what I love. I just didn’t expect certain parts of it,” said Ariana Grande, recognizing that her life changed very drastically after becoming a pop star.
“It starts to get very, very hard, and then you overthink, and then you get scared, and then you get hurt, and then you think: ‘Now I don’t want to go out. I don’t want to venture into this world.’ I understand,” commented Nicole Kidman.
The “Babygirl” star, however, said that the situation is different for younger people. “I’m raising teenage girls now, and it’s fascinating. I think they have an armor we didn’t have,” she shared.
Nicole Kidman is the mother of four children: Bella, 32, and Connor, 30, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, and her younger daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, with ex-husband Keith Urban.
The actress attributes this armor to the fact that they were born into the environment of social media. “The very, very young now already say: ‘We know exactly how to deal with this’,” she added.
“They don’t take many things personally. They just let it go.”
Grande agreed with Kidman, saying that sometimes she wants “a little dose” of that confidence, to which Kidman replied: “We need that lesson.”
