Ana Navarro, Nicaraguan political commentator and star of the program The View, delivered harsh criticism of Donald Trump’s Latino voters.

Navarro used her Instagram profile last Wednesday (27) to take aim at “Latino Trumpists,” pointing to the efforts of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in deporting thousands of immigrants from the United States.
“Where are all those Christians?” wrote the 53-year-old political commentator about a post from New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who issued a statement on August 18 regarding the alleged detention of a seven-year-old girl by ICE in the state.
“If a seven-year-old child is who President Trump considers the ‘worst of the worst,’ then the promise was a lie from the start,” Hochul wrote in her statement, which was reposted by Navarro.
In a subsequent post, she shared a report from CBS News that indicated “neighborhood checks” would be implemented as part of citizenship applications during the Trump administration.
“Latino Trumpists, is this the […] you all voted for? So that your aunts and ‘abuelas’ could be spied on?” Navarro asked in text written over the CBS headline.
Navarro’s statements come amid strong reaction from government figures toward The View, which returns for a new season on Monday (09/08) on ABC.
In July, Brendan Carr, chairman of the FCC, told Fox News that he believes there could be “consequences” for the long-running talk show if they don’t address its alleged liberal bias.
