The series “One Day” by Netflix is eliciting strong reactions from its viewers; starring Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod, the romantic drama follows the journey of a couple over 20 years, with everything told happening on a single day, July 15.
Each half-hour episode, except for the finale, covers one day, starting in 1988 with Dexter Mayhew (Woodall) and Emma Morley (Ambika Mod) meeting on their graduation night at the University of Edinburgh. From this first encounter, the story is divided into 14 chapters full of emotion.
“One Day” is based on the best-selling novel by David Nicholls and has already been adapted into a 2011 film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. In the Netflix series, the couple goes through a series of ups and downs, even in other relationships, and although they are classic ‘just friends’, it’s clear that they are much more to each other.
According to viewer comments on social media, the series is so good that many are watching it again, even though they have already finished watching all the episodes. “I watched #OneDay in one day and now I can’t stop thinking about these two.
