Netflix has released a new documentary that is being hailed as one of the scariest things viewers have ever seen.

The program ‘Lover, Stalker, Killer‘ follows three women who were victims of one of the UK’s most prolific cyberstalkers, Matthew Hardy. Each of them was subjected to disturbing messages and virtual stalking until the police stepped in to investigate.

The two-part documentary offers a disturbing glimpse into the reality of being stalked online. The victims share the terror they experienced as Hardy used fake profiles to spread private information and lies about them.

Many viewers described the documentary as a mentally unsettling experience and warned others to only watch it during the day, with all the lights on. The program raises questions about online safety and the threatening nature of virtual stalkers.
