NASA and Netflix announced on Monday, June 30, a partnership that allows users to follow live launches from the US space agency.

The channel will be called NASA+. “If you’re a space enthusiast, or just spend a lot of time watching the Earth shine from 400 km above, the countdown has officially begun,” wrote Netflix.

The streaming giant stated that the programming will include “stunning views of the Earth from the International Space Station,” as well as “spacewalks” and live broadcasts of rocket launches.

According to NASA, the partnership with Netflix aims to “bring space a little closer to home.”

“Our Space Act of 1958 requires us to share our story of space exploration with the widest possible audience,” emphasized Rebecca Sirmons, director of NASA+.

NASA’s programming will also be available for free on the agency’s official website.
