Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight champion, recently revealed in an interview that he gave up some habits as he prepares for his fight against Jake Paul.

During an interview on The Damon Elliott Show, Tyson revealed that he stopped smoking marijuana and engaging in intimate relations, stating that this decision is related to the discipline needed for rigorous training for the fight.

The boxer explained that this change in behavior is part of an effort to enforce more discipline as he prepares for the fight against actor and YouTuber Jake Paul, scheduled for July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA.

During the interview, Mike Tyson emphasized that this is not the first time he has abstained from intimate relations for performance reasons. He disclosed in 2018, during a TV interview, that he had previously abstained for about five years, believing it would make him a better boxer.

However, his decision to stop smoking marijuana has an additional reason. According to his publicist, Tyson gave up the substance to comply with the rules of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which prohibits the use of marijuana in combat sports in the state.
