Woody Harrelson was reportedly involved in a wild bar fight in New Orleans. Mark Ruffalo shared the incredible story on the podcast *Where Everybody Knows Your Name*.
“We were filming ‘Now You See Me’ in New Orleans, right out on the streets. Completely crazy,” said the ‘Avengers’ actor. The crew was filming with long lenses while the cast walked through local bars.
Mark Ruffalo was telling the story to Ted Danson, who hosts the podcast alongside Woody Harrelson. The fight allegedly started when the two stopped at a crowded bar.
“A woman came up to him and said, ‘Oh my God, I love you so much.’ Woody put his hand on her arm and said, ‘Oh, thank you. Thank you, sweetheart.’ Then this guy walks up, pushes the woman aside, and shoves Woody,” he recalled.
“That’s bad,” Danson commented. “Bad,” agreed Mark Ruffalo. “Because Woody’s first reaction isn’t to ‘push someone back,’ it’s to ‘punch them right in the face,’” he said, laughing as he remembered the moment.

“Which, by the way, was the right thing to do,” joked Ruffalo, while Harrelson laughed during the video call.
“I was in the middle of it, and it was about to turn into total chaos… So I grabbed you,” the actor recalled.
Mark Ruffalo pulled his co-star out of the fight because he thought the situation could have gone very wrong for the others who were with them.
“I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I’d be the guy saying, ‘I’ll be right back, I’m going to call someone,’” joked Danson.
