Originally portrayed by the late Leslie Nielsen, Liam Neeson will bring to life the character of Lieutenant Frank Drebin.

With screenwriters Dan Gregor, Doug Man, and Avika Schaffer (who will also direct the film), production is set to commence soon, as the release date is scheduled for July 2025, according to the Mirror portal.

The “Naked Gun” films were a comedy success in the 1980s and 1990s, with a total of three films released in 1988, 1991, and 1994.

Leslie Nielsen, known for his dramatic roles, portrayed Lieutenant Drebin before his death in 2010 at the age of 84.

Liam Neeson, on the other hand, has played characters in action films such as “Taken,” “Star Wars,” and “Cold Pursuit.”

No further information about the reboot’s cast has been revealed yet.
