Despite its success over 12 seasons, Kaley Cuoco revealed that she went through some difficult moments during the filming of “The Big Bang Theory”.
In an article published by Vanity Fair in 2022, the actress commented on how the end of her relationship with Johnny Galecki, who played Leonard in the series, caused some discomfort in certain scenes.
“Suddenly [after the breakup], we started noticing there were extra make-out scenes for our characters and/or intimate scenes,” she told the magazine.
“I thought: ‘I think Chuck is messing with us!’ We were convinced. Convinced!” said Kaley Cuoco about the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre.
The actress also spoke about other difficulties faced behind the scenes of the hit CBS sitcom.
“I was constantly trying to desperately keep this group together, and we all truly loved each other, but it was 12 years,” Kaley Cuoco told The Independent.

“I really held everyone’s hand, and I think I did the best I could. […] It was an explosion of money and fame and it became something much bigger than any of us could have imagined. So of course, there was a bit of drama.”
She also faced criticism over the salaries the main cast earned per episode in the final season, reaching up to $1 million per episode.
Despite the drama, Kaley Cuoco still remembers “The Big Bang Theory” with affection.
“It was like capturing lightning in a bottle, and a very special moment in time that people still love to this day and hopefully will love forever.”
