Joy Behar heated up the discussion about the Oscar nominees on “The View” after saying she had only seen one movie and then joking that the winners should give the award to Donald Trump.

Before Behar’s comment, Whoopi Goldberg was praising the 16 nominations received by the film “Sinners,” directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan.

Sarah Haines also commented on the importance of the nomination of the documentary “The Perfect Neighbor,” which “depicts the murder of Ajike Owens in Florida.”

“Her children, and also her mother, are very close friends of the show. We were exchanging messages this morning, very emotional, because there is no price that can make up for the loss of a life like that,” said Joy Behar’s colleague.

She also joked about Donald Trump’s obsession with awards and said that the winners should give one to the president.

“Well, I hope that whoever wins gives the Oscar to [Donald] Trump, because I’m afraid that if he doesn’t win, he’ll invade Finland,” Joy Behar joked.

However, the host did not seem very excited about the list of nominees. “The only thing on this entire list that I’ve seen is ‘One Battle After Another,’ so I suggest that one,” she said.

“We need to get you out of the house more,” conservative co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin commented, laughing.

The network will also broadcast the Oscar ceremony on Sunday, March 15.
