The US president answered questions from other reporters normally, but one of them did not escape the outburst of anger from Trump.
“At the end of this year, these extended Obamacare subsidies expire. What is your message to the 24 million Americans who will see their insurance premiums go up?” the journalist asked.
Trump interrupted him, saying not to make it sound “so bad.” “Because, obviously, you are a sycophant for the Democrats. You are clearly a provider of bad news for Republicans,” the president continued.
He then ignored the journalist and attacked the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare, calling the program “a terrible health insurance.”
“I want to see the billions of dollars go to the people, not to the insurance companies. I want to see people go out and buy a great health plan. A much better health plan, at a very low cost,” he said.
