“He was in the middle of a breakdown in every sense I can imagine, and he was renegotiating the contract for another year of a show I was also on,” Jon Cryer recalls.
He compared his colleague to Kim Jong-il, the dictator of North Korea. “He behaved insanely all the time and, because of that, received enormous amounts of aid from countries that were so afraid of him that they just threw money at him,” Cryer said.
“Well, that’s what happened here. [Sheen’s] negotiations went completely off the rails because his life was falling apart. I, whose life was fine at the time, got a third of that,” he lamented.

Jon Cryer also suggested that CBS had done some sort of pre-sale of several additional seasons of the show, which to him meant the network had a big incentive to spend a lot of money on Charlie Sheen.
Warner Bros. TV did not comment on the actor’s statements. According to Forbes, Charlie Sheen earned $1.9 million per episode of “Two and a Half Men”.
After Sheen left the series, Jon Cryer began receiving about $620,000 per episode, he stated in the documentary.
