John Reardon used Christmas Eve to reveal to his followers that he’s cured of throat cancer.
Known for his role as Heath in White Chicks, the actor shared a picture outside the hospital and talked about his treatment in the caption. “Last night I had my first outing since being cured of throat cancer,” he began.
“It’s been a long road between these two pictures, and the difference lies in the love and support I’ve received from the people in my life. My amazing partner, Meghan Ory, who took on the world to help me get better. My brave children who inspired me.”
“My father who took me on walks every day, even when it was hard to get out of bed – and I’m sure it was hard for him to watch his son suffer. My mom who made soups, ginger teas, honey and green juices to help me get calories in,” the actor continued.
“My sister and brother who helped with the kids and life’s challenges when I couldn’t. My in-laws, who are not just in-laws but family, who brought food, cookies and talked with us about the struggles.”
“Our babysitter, our neighbors, and everyone who sent food, love and support, or messages and kind words, as well as all the doctors, nurses, technicians, hospital staff, amazing psychologists, you are all my heroes and I thank you with all my heart,” wrote Reardon.
“Kindness is an underrated quality in people. We should never underestimate it. Celebrate it and spread it as much as you can. It’s free and it changes lives. Merry Christmas,” the actor added.
