The “True Detective” star hosted SNL on November 27, 1976, shortly after turning 14, becoming the youngest person to host the show — a record later broken by Drew Barrymore at age seven in 1982, which still stands today.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 62-year-old actress spoke about her experience hosting the live comedy show — and the sticky mishap that occurred just before stepping on stage for her opening monologue.

“My bad memory from that is that right before I went on, maybe half an hour earlier, I had something they called an Orange Julius,” she said, referring to the mix of orange and milk.

“I had this huge Orange Julius, and it spilled all over my pants. They said, ‘Well, we don’t have time to change,’ so during the whole monologue, I was sticky,” she recalled with a laugh.

In addition to the small mishap, Foster also spoke about Brian Wilson’s appearance and remembered the strange behavior of the “Beach Boys” founder, who passed away in June of this year.

“He didn’t talk to anyone. He was in the trailer — you know, he wasn’t doing particularly well,” she said. “He came with his companion… so I never talked to him, but I saw him. I don’t think he even came to rehearsal,” she revealed.

The actress said she doesn’t remember ever being asked back to host the show, and according to her, that was probably the last time.

“They might have asked me, but I never did it again,” Foster said, adding that if she were invited now, she probably wouldn’t accept: “I don’t know. Probably not.”
