He was only 12 years old when he appeared in “Jaws“, Steven Spielberg’s hit, and still receives payment for the few minutes he appeared in the film.

Jeffrey Voorhees was only 12 years old when he appeared in “Jaws,” Steven Spielberg’s hit, and to this day he earns from the few minutes he appeared in the film.

The actor, now 62, played the young Alex Kintner, and his role was small since his character was one of the fatal victims of the relentless fury of the massive shark in the 1975 production.

Even so, Voorhees continues to reap the rewards of his 4-minute appearance in the blockbuster that just turned 50 years old. In an interview with the Daily Mail, the actor revealed the impressive amount he still earns from his brief scene.

“I was a 12-year-old kid who appeared in the film for a minute, but there are some true Jaws fanatics out there,” he said, traveling the world for autograph sessions, film tours, and still earning image rights.

“A guy in England just bought 125 photos, I do autograph sessions and they take me all over the world and pay me cash for these things—about £10,000 each time,” he said.

“I still get paid every time the film airs on TV,” he explained. “My brother lives in Portugal, and I get messages from him saying: ‘Good news, you just died on TV here, you’ll get another check,'” the actor said.
