Brooke, Hulk Hogan’s daughter, revealed the reason why she was removed from her late father’s will.

The WWE legend died on July 24 at age 71 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home in Florida. Brooke did not attend the funeral but paid tribute to him on Instagram.

“My dad hated the morbidity of funerals. He didn’t want one. And while I know people suffer in many ways – I am very grateful for all the celebrations and events held to honor him,” she wrote last Tuesday (August 5).

“As his daughter, I had to make my own decision about how to best honor him… privately… in a way that made me feel closest to him. The only thing missing today was him in his garden recliner watching the waves… and the sunset.”

TMZ previously reported that Brooke, who took the surname of her husband and former NHL star Steven Oleksy, will not inherit anything from his $25 million fortune.

A source told the outlet that she asked to be removed from his will in 2023 because “she didn’t trust anyone close to him and didn’t want to get involved in a financial battle when he passed.”

Now Brooke has given an interview to explain the situation, saying she became “scared” of possible conflicts with her mother, Linda Hogan, and her father’s third wife, Sky Daily, after his death.

“I thought that if either I or [my brother] Nick got some money, no offense, my mom used to get involved in things like that,” she said on the Bubba the Love Sponge podcast.

Brooke then claimed that Linda had previous ties to the Church of Scientology. “And I said, ‘I don’t want to fight with Linda, I don’t want to fight with Scientology.’ It scared me. And I just said, ‘I want out.'”

TMZ reported that Brooke will still receive money from a small life insurance fund for which she is a co-beneficiary and plans to use it to pay for her children’s college.

“In the end, he was still a financial success for many. That was the last thing I wanted for him — he worked and struggled his whole life,” Brooke added in her tribute on Instagram.
