In an interview with People magazine on Tuesday (14), Alana Thompson said she is “a little nervous” about the release of her biopic “I Was Honey Boo Boo,” which premieres on the Lifetime channel on May 17.
The 19-year-old said she is apprehensive because she fears her mother June Shannon’s reaction, as the production will portray the period when “Mama June” was battling drug addiction.
“I didn’t want this film to be an attack on my mom or to portray her as a villain,” she explained. “But I didn’t hold back, and if she gets mad, in the end, it’s the truth,” she admitted.
