Hayden Christensen, known for playing the young Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars,” commented that he would love to explore other phases of the saga alongside Ewan McGregor, who portrays Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin’s mentor.
In an interview with GAMINGbible, Hayden Christensen spoke about his interest in making more live-action appearances in the “Star Wars” franchise. He said he would love to return to adapt some scenes from the Clone Wars era.
“I think the Clone Wars era is a very interesting phase of Anakin’s life that we never really got to explore much in live-action, and getting to touch on that a little in ‘Ahsoka’ was amazing,” he recalled.
“But I would love to do it with Ewan (McGregor). I know he’s excited about it too. So maybe, one day, fans will get what they’ve been wishing for,” said Hayden.
The actor, who rose to fame as Anakin Skywalker in the early 2000s prequel trilogy, returned to the franchise after 14 years, having lent his voice to “The Rise of Skywalker” in 2019.
During the Star Wars Celebration 2025, it was confirmed that Hayden Christensen would return for the second season of the “Kenobi” series, starring his colleague Ewan McGregor.
In 2022, he shot several scenes and even wore the Darth Vader suit again in the “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series. He later returned for an episode of “Ahsoka” in 2023.
Hayden Christensen will appear again in theaters for special screenings celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of “Revenge of the Sith.”
