Gordon Ramsay spoke about the incident on Friday’s (20) episode of “The Graham Norton Show.” He said he had her removed from the restaurant because she was accompanied by a restaurant critic who had previously given the venue a negative review.
“She was with a critic who had completely trashed the restaurant before, and they literally came back a few months later,” explained the chef, who said he expelled her from the place “by accident.”
“And I said to that critic, ‘Thank you, but no thank you,’” he recalled, adding that the British actress was “furious.”
“I later apologized to Joan,” he admitted. “It’s difficult, isn’t it, when you’re under that kind of criticism, when you’re being judged by people who know less about food than you do,” Gordon Ramsay acknowledged.
The renowned chef and “MasterChef” host mentioned the story in the first episode of his new Netflix documentary series, “Being Gordon Ramsay.”
“One of the most prolific critics had a brutal personal vendetta,” he added.

“When he walked in with Joan Collins, he thought I wouldn’t have the guts to do anything to him because he was sitting with the glamorous and incredible Joan Collins.”
“And yes, I could hardly wait for him to sit down, pick up the menu, count 20 minutes and then ask him to get out of the restaurant, because whether you’re with Joan Collins or sitting with the queen, you’re still getting kicked out, mate,” he recalled.
“I know it was wrong, but that’s what happens when women like Joan Collins go out to dinner with idiots,” Gordon Ramsay concluded.
The documentary series arrived on Netflix on February 18.
