Fox News presenter Kayleigh McEnany recently went viral after telling a story about her mother and the Melania Trump documentary. Internet users had a hard time believing the story was true.
The film, produced by Amazon MGM Studios, which cost $40 million plus $35 million for marketing, premiered on the last weekend of January. The film opened with only $8,125.16 in box office revenue.
Despite the disappointing numbers, McEnany told a different story.
“My mom went to see this [film] this weekend in Florida. She said that, besides the theater being packed, there were only standing spots if you tried to squeeze in at the back of the room,” said the presenter.
“People were clapping during the movie, they were excited. It was interactive, people were interacting with the film. She said it was just electric,” McEnany said.

Some accused the reporter of making up the story to please the “Trump regime.”
“It’s not meant to be believable, it’s meant to signal that you’re willing to lie and humiliate yourself for the regime. The more ridiculous the lie, the better,” wrote someone on X (formerly Twitter).
“Only standing room in a theater, super realistic story,” said another cynic.
The presenter also suggested that the first lady should be nominated for an Oscar. “If she were, she would be the best dressed and the most elegant, by far,” she said.
