Fans of the soap opera “General Hospital” took to X, formerly Twitter, to protest the interruption of an episode caused by a White House press conference on Tuesday (20).
“Can you please make this stop!”, one viewer wrote in response to an announcement by Nathan Varni, an ABC executive, informing viewers about the press conference.
“Hey everyone, today’s episode of #GH is being interrupted by a press conference, which is beyond our control,” Varni wrote.
The ABC executive, whose network airs “General Hospital,” said he was unsure how long the press conference would last and did not know when the program would return.

However, shortly afterward he made another announcement saying the episode would air the following day.
“I can’t believe I have to listen to this liar instead of watching ‘General Hospital’!”, one fan wrote. “What was ABC thinking?”, another asked.
“So annoying! Why couldn’t they wait until the evening news? This wasn’t newsworthy! Leave our soaps on the air!”, another protested.
