Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted of fraud after producing false financial statements to appear richer than they actually are. President Donald Trump said he will step in to pardon them.
The reality stars from Chrisley Knows Best, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were sentenced to 12 and 7 years in prison respectively, but are about to be pardoned by the U.S. president.
After the couple’s daughter Savannah gave an interview to Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, the Republican took up the cause of the Chrisley Knows Best stars.
In the interview, Savannah mentioned that the prosecutors in the case were both Democrats, had donated to the Democratic Party, and referred to her family as “the Trumps of the South.”

After the interview, Donald Trump called Savannah and promised to pardon her parents.
“Your parents will be free and clear, and I hope we can get this done by tomorrow. I don’t know them, but send them my regards and wish them a good life,” Donald Trump said in a video from the White House press office.
The reality show Chrisley Knows Best showed the life of real estate magnates who are among the richest one percent in the U.S.
The loans made by the couple were used to buy cars, travel the world, and generally live a life they could not actually afford, according to prosecutors.
