At the same Ford factory where Donald Trump exchanged insults with a worker, Tony Dokoupil heard from the president that he “would not have a job now” if Kamala Harris had won the election.

The interview was conducted at the Ford factory in Dearborn, Michigan, on Tuesday (13).

Dokoupil spoke with Donald Trump about the U.S. economy, the situation in Iran and several other topics, until the U.S. president began talking about his election victory and how it improved the country.

“Tony, now we have the hottest country in the world. A year and a half ago, our country was dead. We had a dead country. You would not have a job now,” he said.

“If she had gotten in, you probably would not have a job now. Your boss, who is an incredible guy, could be broke, okay?” he said, referring to Larry Ellison, CEO of Paramount-Skydance, which controls CBS.

Dokoupil did not have time to respond to Donald Trump’s comments and appeared visibly confused.

“Let me tell you one thing: you would not have this job. You would not have this job, certainly not for whatever the hell they’re paying you,” the president continued.

At the end of the interview, Dokoupil pushed back against the president’s claims. “For the record, I think I would have this job even if the other side had won.” “Yes, but with a lower salary,” Donald Trump replied.
