Donald Trump made new allegations against the British broadcaster after threatening to sue the company in November. The BBC allegedly edited one of his statements in the documentary “Trump: A Second Chance?”.

In the edited segment, the U.S. president appears to incite the attacks on the Capitol that took place in January 2021.

“We are going to walk to the Capitol… and I will be there with you. And we fight. We fight with all our strength,” he said in the documentary.

However, according to Donald Trump, what he said in full was: “We are going to walk to the Capitol and we are going to applaud our brave senators and representatives.” He filed a lawsuit against the BBC on Monday (15).

The U.S. president is seeking damages “in an amount not less than $5 million” for allegations of alleged defamation and violation of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

He also stated in a speech at the White House that the broadcaster allegedly used artificial intelligence to alter his remarks.

“They put words in my mouth, made me say things I never said, I think they used AI or something,” said Donald Trump.

In response, a BBC spokesperson told the LADbible Group that they will defend themselves in this case. “We will not make further comments on ongoing legal proceedings,” the spokesperson concluded.
