Frankie Muniz, the protagonist of the series Malcolm in the Middle, revealed the incredible fortune he has amassed thanks to his career as a teenage actor in the 2000s.
Actor Frankie Muniz, who during the 2000s played the super intelligent teenager dealing with a large and dysfunctional family in the successful series Malcolm in the Middle, revealed he became a millionaire before turning 19.
Muniz, now 38 years old, is participating in the Australian reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and during a conversation with his fellow contestants, he shared that by the age of eighteen he had already accumulated a fortune of $40 million.
The reality show participants were discussing the comments and criticisms they receive on social media when Muniz confessed he used to retaliate against online insults: “This kid wrote: ‘I’m sorry, but your acting is just awful’. And I was in a movie and thought: ‘Yeah, it is, but you know what’s not awful? Retiring at 19 with $40 million. Good luck moving out of your mom’s house before 35.”
Muniz revealed he no longer responds to haters and, when a fellow contestant questioned whether he had earned enough money to retire from work completely, the star of Malcolm in the Middle replied yes:“Oh, 100 percent”; “But I’m neurotically motivated. I’ve always worked, since I was 8 years old. I don’t know how to live in the moment and not focus on what I’m going to do next.”
Currently, Muniz no longer works as an actor; instead, he races cars and lives in Arizona with his wife and their 2-year-old son.
