The “Knives Out” star revealed that she has a very clear idea of how she wants to spend the final days of her life. Glenn Close mentioned her grandparents’ stone cottage, which was very special during her childhood.
“They had this wonderful stone cottage on the farm, on their property, which I think was originally a slaughterhouse,” she said.
“But it was transformed into this really cozy cottage. And that is my first memory, in that little cottage,” she continued.
“It was made of stone, with ivy on the façade. There was literally a white fence around it, right in the middle of a hay field and a small woodland,” recalled the actress from “Mars Attacks!”.

Glenn Close said she plans to build her own stone cottage behind her home, to remind herself that “the happiest and most inspiring years of my life were in that place.”
She explains that the new cottage will have two bedrooms: one for her and another for a live-in caregiver, who will be by her side in the final years of her life.
“And that’s where I will die. Happy,” Glenn Close stated.
