Actress Angie Harmon spoke to People magazine about how she’s coping with the loss of her dog Oliver, who was shot and killed by an Instacart delivery driver on Easter 2024.
Angie Harmon revealed that Easter 2025 “was very hard,” as it marked one year since her dog Oliver was fatally shot by an Instacart driver who claimed self-defense.
“He shot our dog while my daughters and I were home, and just kept saying: ‘yes, I shot your dog. Yes, I shot him,’” recalled the “Rizzoli & Isles” actress at the time.
She also stated that the delivery driver had “not a scratch on him,” which she felt did not justify the act against her pet.

Despite the traumatic loss, Angie Harmon told People that the arrival of Lucy, her new puppy, brought joy back into her life.
“Lucy changed my life. She saved me. She pulled me out of a very dark time, and I love her so much,” said the actress, who has three dogs.
Lucy was a Mother’s Day 2024 gift from her daughters Avery, Finley, and Emery.
“Truly, Lucy saved me and allowed me to love and feel again. She has become my emotional support,” Angie Harmon shared.
On April 28, she posted a photo cuddling with Lucy and wrote: “Just me, my dog, and the realization that I’ve been demoted from human to furniture. Happy Monday, folks.”
