While taking part in a panel at the event alongside other stars of the sitcom, the 83-year-old actor was asked by moderator Ashley Nicole Black what questions he asked himself before accepting the role of Dr. Paul Rhoades.
According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the star of “Indiana Jones” expressed his love for the series: “Where do we go from here? The kind of work we’re able to do is remarkable, considering the tools we have at our disposal and the idea behind this series. And if it all ended here, it would already be enough,” he said.

“This has been a different kind of job for me, and I’ve been doing this for a very long time. It’s something very special that nourishes me and makes me feel that what we’re doing has value and importance. I look for that in my life, and I’m happy to have found it here.”
In the series, Ford plays a senior therapist, somewhat grumpy, who has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. His performance in “Shrinking” has been praised since the first season and earned him his first Emmy nomination.
Ford also spoke about the more than special appearance by Michael J. Fox in the third season: “It was a little scary when I thought about it, because I’m playing a character who has Parkinson’s, and Michael, of course, has the disease in real life,” he said.
“He has such a strong presence. So much grace, courage and indomitability, and I hope that some of that helps me bring color to my portrayal of a character with Parkinson’s.”

The series “Shrinking”, created by Bill Lawrence, Jason Segel and Brett Goldstein, has officially been renewed for a fourth season by Apple TV+.
