Barry Manilow announced on social media that he had to postpone his February performances in Las Vegas to focus on his recovery after lung cancer surgery performed in December.
The 82-year-old singer and songwriter underwent treatment at the end of last year to remove a cancerous lesion in his left lung and, at the beginning of 2026, shared a selfie still in the hospital, reassuring fans by saying he was feeling better.
Even though he is recovering well, the artist announced this week that he will reschedule the dates of his show residency at Westgate Las Vegas, USA, on medical advice.

In a statement published on Instagram, Manilow spoke about his health condition and revealed that he is following medical orders and doing everything possible to ensure a full recovery before returning to the stage.
“I’m feeling great and recovering very well from the surgery. I’ve been exercising and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic,” he wrote.
“With the guidance and recommendation of my doctor, we decided to postpone the dates of my residency at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12 to 21 so I can focus on my recovery and on preparing for the tour that begins at the end of February.”
“Having a few weeks to rest and get ready is exactly what the doctor ordered!” he added.
In the comments, friends and fans of the singer of “Copacabana” left well wishes; “I’m glad you’re taking the necessary time to make sure your recovery is successful. We’ll be ready when you are,” wrote one follower.
“We wish you a speedy recovery. Do what’s best for your health. We’ll continue streaming your lifetime of musical work!” said another.
“Take care, don’t overdo it,” advised a third.
