The host of “The Daily Show” compared the Secretary of Defense to the villain from the Prime Video series “The Boys.” The comment came while Jon Stewart was discussing the pension reduction made by Hegseth.

“Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona will be joining us,” Jon Stewart teased in the episode following the holiday break.

“Man! Just today, just today, the senator had his rank stripped and his pension reduced by the Secretary of Defense/War, Pete Hegseth/Homelander,” the host compared.

“And the senator will be joining us, and I’m going to ask if he knows we don’t pay our guests,” Jon Stewart continued.

Homelander is the biggest villain in “The Boys” universe. The character, who has powers similar to Superman, acts as a tyrant and forces everyone to submit to his will.

Hegseth said on social media Monday (5) that the military had begun taking action against Kelly, a former astronaut and husband of Gabby Giffords, a congresswoman who survived an assassination attempt in 2011.

The Secretary referenced a video from November in which Kelly and other Democrats told members of the Armed Forces that they should refuse to follow illegal orders.
