The American Horror Story actress wrote about how seeing her own children, watching them with their grandfather doing simple everyday things, made her think about her mother and how none of it would have been possible without her.
“So I started thinking about how this joy wouldn’t be possible without my mother,” she explained.
“This joy only exists because she existed. So even though she is not physically part of this joy, she is part of the reason it exists. Even though she is no longer alive, she continues to live through this joy.”
Lourd also shared an image of her father with her son Kingston, 4, and her daughter Jackson, 3. “At this exact moment, this image represents the joy I feel from the privilege of seeing my children with my father,” she wrote.
