After the news of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele’s death, Donald Trump fired off comments against the Hollywood director. The U.S. president suggested that the two passed away due to “Trump Disturbance Syndrome.”

The post was made on Donald Trump’s Truth Social profile on Monday (15th), a day after Reiner’s death.

“Rob Reiner, a film director and comedic actor who struggled and faced difficulties, but was once very talented, has passed away, along with his wife Michele,” the president began.

He continued, saying the couple died “allegedly due to the anger he caused in others through his enormous, inflexible, and incurable affliction,” which he himself called “Trump Disturbance Syndrome,” or TDS.

“He was known for driving people crazy with his furious obsession with President Donald J. Trump,” he continued. Rob Reiner was known as a Democrat and a strong critic of Donald Trump’s administration.

Reiner and his wife were found dead in their Brentwood, California home on Sunday (14th). Their son, Nick Reiner, is in custody and is currently being held on a $4 million bail.

He is believed to have committed the crime.

Donald Trump’s comment sparked outrage among several of Reiner’s colleagues. “Rob Reiner was a thousand times the man you are, and unlike you, he truly cared about the American people,” wrote actor Josh Gad.

Musician Jack White also spoke out. “Using someone’s tragic death to promote your own vanity and authoritarian fascist agenda is a corrupt and narcissistic sin,” he wrote.

Whoopi Goldberg, who worked with Reiner on “Ghosts of Mississippi,” also criticized Donald Trump.

“I don’t understand the man in that White House, because he talked so much about Charlie Kirk and caring,” said the host of The View.
