“So, Alyssa [Farah Griffin] is out today, and I’m back today! Back from Italy!” she began. “I think she forgot how to speak English,” Ana Navarro joked.
Whoopi Goldberg said she was confused by the time change and the languages, but that she is happy with her role in the Italian soap opera Un Posto Al Sole.
“I learned a lot, because I had never done a soap opera before, so doing one in another language, in another country, provided a really interesting experience,” she said.
The Ghost star said she spent two weeks in Naples and that it rained every day during her stay.
“It was great. I sent things to you all the time because I wanted you to know I was really working,” she told her co-hosts.
Whoopi Goldberg shared more about her experience filming a soap opera. The actress said that “you never stop living in the real soap.”
She also said she didn’t need to mention the current moment in the United States, because “they were aware.”
“But you know, that’s the thing about other countries: they’ve been through this already. They’ve gone through it, they know what it’s like, and they’re just waiting, saying that when the people decide enough is enough, it will be enough,” she concluded.
