In a series of videos posted on Instagram Stories on Thursday (20), Rumer Willis answered questions from followers who were asking about the “Die Hard” star’s health condition.
She said it was “hard to answer, because the truth is, anyone with FTD is not doing very well.”
The 37-year-old actress and model said her father was doing well “within the parameters of someone dealing with frontotemporal dementia.”

Even so, she feels “so happy and grateful” to still be able to “hug him.” And “whether he recognizes me or not,” she believes he “recognizes love,” a love she also feels in return.
Rumer Willis says she still sees “a spark of him,” which “is very comforting.”
In March 2022, Bruce’s family announced that the Hollywood star had aphasia and would retire. In February 2023, he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
Bruce is the father of Rumer, daughter Scout Willis, 34, and daughter Tallulah Willis, 31, from his first marriage to actress Demi Moore, 63.
